Boyz II Men highlight 49ers victorious season opener

e2k and the San Francisco 49ers kicked-off the farewell season at Candlestick Park on Sunday, where a sell-out crowd witnessed the reigning NFC Champions defeat the Green Bay Packers by a score of 34-28.

The game entertainment featured four-time Grammy winning artists Boyz II Men performing the National Anthem with a full-field American flag, spectacular pyrotechnics show, and a flyover by the Patriots Jet Team who streamed red, white and blue smoke across the San Francisco skyline.

At halftime, 49ers fans were treated to the aerial acrobatics of the Frog X Skydiving Team.

The Farewell Candlestick campaign continues on September 22nd with the 30th Anniversary Reunion of the 49ers Gold Rush. Founded in 1983 by Michael Olmstead and Laurie Ryan Woodward, the Gold Rush has continued to set the standard for NFL Cheerleading teams across the country. On the  22nd when the 49ers play the Indianapolis Colts at home, over 200 ladies will show why the Gold Rush remains the finest dance team in the NFL.
