Since 2010, e2k | events for change has produced the fundraising benefit for the Tipping Point Community, a San Francisco-based non-profit that is working to alleviate poverty in the Bay Area. Their focused approach, led by CEO Daniel Lurie, demonstrates due diligence and has attracted a broad range of supporters from San Francisco and Silicon Valley. In 2015, the Tipping Point Community Benefit raised $14.7 million to support their vision of “making poverty preventable,” shattering previous totals raised ($12M in 2014 and $8M in 2013).
Following the dinner and fundraising, Tipping Point has treated guests to special performances from incredible musical artists, including Snoop Dogg, Phoenix, Alabama Shakes, Girl Talk, One Republic and Run DMC. DJ Ruckus has become a benefit favorite for the late-night dance party.
Videos and fundraising animations were displayed on over 5,800 square feet of LED walls and projections screens, creating a truly immersive experience for the guests. Appearances by 49ers CEO and Tipping Point Board Member, Jed York, has helped spur the attendees to dig deeper during the live donation drive.
The fundraising affair included gourmet dinners catered by Paula LeDuc, a live auction, and an innovative donation experience featuring wireless devices at every place-setting alongside an animated presentation created by e2k and the innovative video design firm, 3Monkeys. Projection art in the entryways and a dynamic display during the concert was developed by AutoFuss. The décor was created by Stanlee Gati Designs. The audio for the dinner and the concert was provided by long-time e2k associate, Sound on Stage, and the impressive lighting design by Impact Lighting. Creative Technology assisted with the multiscreen experience and live camera displays.
