Reversing Climate Change At All Levels

Last September, e2k produced the Global Climate Action Summit in San Francisco, California. The summit was hosted by California Governor Jerry Brown and aimed to address climate change by bringing together non-state actors including elected leaders at the state and local level. Many leaders who are taking action on climate change were present: Al Gore, Patricia Espinosa, Jane Goodall, as well as and prominent scientists and researchers, and speakers such as Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, and Dave Matthews.

At the summit, a group of twenty-nine organizations announced a commitment of $4 billion to combat climate change over the next five years. The commitment was the largest philanthropic investment made addressing climate change to date. e2k managed every detail from design and direction to transportation, sponsor fulfillment, registration and build out. We are proud to announce that this event won the Innovation in Sustainability Award for being the first organization in the world to receive #ISO20121 certification by an accredited third-party.
